PEER-2-PEER

This need is urgent. Our college in Liberia has not had city-supplied power since the civil war ended 10 years ago. The college's 26 buildings are all powered by a small diesel generator. The generator is overloaded and it is very expensive to run. We need SOLAR! We would like to install four solar panels on each building that will feed power to battery inverters inside the buildings, which will provide electricity all night. This is a fantastic solution to the mission's electric needs.

COST: 4 solar panels per building x 26 buildings = $46,000

We want our students in Uganda to have the same advantages, and to receive the same caliber of education that college students receive everywhere else in the world-that includes having access to a computer. At present our college students battle for access to only a handful of computers in the college's computer lab, which is not accessible to them for much of the day and evening when college students want to get their work done. This is a very real problem that we need to help change immediately to ensure that our college students in Uganda receive the best education possible. Our goal is for every student at ABC to have their own laptop.

COST: 50 freshmen students x $400 per laptop = $20,000

Since 1976, ABC and its graduates have had an unparalleled impact on the continent of Africa. With strategically located campuses in Liberia, Malawi, and Uganda, ABC is able to draw and train dedicated Christian leaders from every corner of Africa. The three colleges have built a tradition and a greatly respected reputation for producing the highest caliber of young Christian men and women on the continent. We would greatly appreciate you taking the time to pray about giving to our Student Scholarship Fund to help make a real difference in Africa and in the lives of these young men and women.

COST: Our goal is to raise $250,000 to help subsidize the cost of tuition for students on each campus.

The number of girls completing high school in Malawi is skyrocketing. We would love to enroll 100 more female students over the next 2 years. Nothing will change the future of young women in Africa more than a college degree. It gives young ladies who have traditionally been relegated to a life of toting wood and hoeing fields an opportunity to have a real career. you can help ABC accomplish this by contributing toward the construction of a new ladies dormitory!

COST: 50 room dormitory designed to house 100 female college students = $340,000
