ABC Community Clinic is regarded as one of the best places to be cared for in the capital city of Lilongwe. The clinic has two parts- the community side and the private side. There are 3 doctors who work on the private side, while 4 Malawian medical officers run the community side. An American could (maybe) equate the medical officer to a nurse practitioner in the states. In addition to the clinic, there is an inpatient ward service (what we think of as a hospital) in the building behind the clinic. There are 24/7 services provided to Malawians at ABC.
